I knew it! I knew Derpy had to be evil. She's the Ponyville Killer, not Pinkie. Derpy is just really good at disguising her murders as accidents. This is just one of several attempts on Twilight, none of which have yet been successful. Also, "The Last Roundup" shows one of her unsuccessful attempts on Rainbow Dash.
